IMPORTANT REFURBISHMENT NOTES!
During the refurbishment there will only be one toilet available which is upstairs in the Hebrew School area. For those who find stairs a challenge this is a reminder.
The construction area has a “No Go” warning for the entire period of the refurbishment. It is a building site now and Beth Shalom is responsible under the new Health & Safety rules so please keep away from the zone.
The refurbishment project is being funded exclusively by your donations and pledges a third of which you will get back in your tax! Please contact the office for bank details and other ways of donating.
During the renovation period, the office may only be open intermittently but please leave phone messages and email as usual. Congregants should please not bring any Judaica or books to donate to the shul during this time as there is just no room to accommodate donations of this type.
If anyone has the Ritual Committee’s copy of Mishkan HaNefesh, which is the new machzor, please contact the office. This is the copy that Rabbi Naamah gave us and the Ritual Committee urgently needs it.
Monday 17 July, 10:30am: Jewish Book Club meet at the Raye Freedman Library.
Friday 21 July: Our Erev Shabbat service will be enhanced by the cello played by our very own Eliah Sakakushev-Von Bismarck.
Football match: Ex and current football players (over 16 years)... We are seeking interest in the possibility of a community based soccer match to be held before the end of this 2017 season. This would be a friendly game, a chance to dust off the old boots and have a run around. Format will depend on numbers – either 11 or 7 a-side. If you’re interested, or know someone who would be, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll try to get the ball rolling.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING A NON-PERISHABLE FOOD ITEM FOR THE TZEDAKAH BOX.
